The great debate! I know its been posted a thousand times. I have All pro coilovers up front, all pro leaf pack in back, and all pro UCA's on a 1st Gen. Any help is appreciated. I have no imagination so pics are helpful.

**Been searching this and other websites for 3 months now. Relax about using the search function. It's not very good.**

The search function is actually very helpful. I vote 285's but I'm biased.

Tire width is only 33% of the consideration when getting new shoes... A little more info? 31's? 33's? 16 17 18 inch wheels?

if you go 265 your always going to want 255 (85) and with the 3 tires your limited to in a 255 i would say go to a 285 since there is a wide variety.

I like having a wide contact patch. Makes me think I has more traction.

Pizza cutters do look badass though.

I did not vote I liked my BFG 265/75/16's I also like my cooper 255/85/16's.
The 255 are taller and all the vibs were gone. I had the BFG's balanced a few times and I thought the vibs were just my lift. Put on 255/85/16 smooth as silk.
If I had to pick 255 all day.

I have 255 KM2's and I love them. I have had 285's before and they were ok but I believe the 255 is the perfect 33" tire for our trucks.

tire size isn't really a debate per say. each one of those widths is better than the others in certain areas. what kind of wheeling do you do (if you wheel) will determine what's best.

without that information, all recomendations are only going to be valid from an aesthetics standpoint.

what are you looking for: bite, float, on road handling, milage? obviously "all of the above" would be nice in a tire, but you have to prioritize in order to get the size best suited for your needs.
