Tire Clearance Question

So I just got my lift in and hope to install soon. I will be doing Billy's with stock coils at 2.5 and a 3 leaf aal. For now I am keeping the stock sport 17" wheels and stock UCA and no wheel spacers.

I am looking at either 275/70/17 or 285/70/17.

Really want to do the 285's but I am not sure if they will clear with some stock components. A LITTLE trimming is not an issue.

Any help will be appreciated.

The 285s will more than likely rub but there's only a 1/2" difference between the two so there's a good chance they'll both rub. I would advise against the Billies at 2.5" unless you are ok with a pretty firm ride. Have you looked at toyteclifts.com? What's your budget on the lift?

285's will rub the UCA on stock wheels without spacers

275/7017 is what I have on my stock Sport wheels , so does TW member Teamfast .

His rub his stock UCA at full lock , mine do not rub my LR UCA's at all .

I wanted a decent lift without spending a ton of money and I refused to get spacers. I did alot of research and most people seem to be ok with the billies at 2.5. I am lucky enough the wife is letting me spend this much on a lift since she opposses it all together. Which lift are you referring?

I could deal with full lock as this is mainly a daily driver so I dont go to full lock that often. I wish I could get UCA's but money is tight. What tires do you have? Any pics?

Thanks

I like them , I just got these ATm's about 2 months ago , before that I had Hankook MT's for a couple years .

FYI , this size of Hankook ATm only comes in a 10 ply , E rated

I went with the 285/70/17 and had very little rubbing, doesn't rub the UCA at all.

Just checked your specs , you don't have stock wheels , not the same as what the OP is asking

I have a lift and I am currently running 285/70/17 on my stock rims. I am currently rubbing on the UCA. I am still calling around trying to find someone that makes a UCA that will solve this issue. I am not a fan of the wheel spacers but if I have to get them I will.
