Has anyone seen the new Chaparral MT tire made by Delta? They look pretty nice and im thinking about picking up some but i havent seen any reviews on them yet. They look really similar to the Nokian Vativa MTs which are an amazing tire.

Actually i think they are the same exact tire. I wonder if they bought the rights to them?

They are probably owned by the same company. Thats like Cooper building 3 of the same tire under different names.

They look ugly, but I wonder how they perform.

You think they look ugly?? I think they look really aggressive and actually have a unique tread pattern unlike most M/Ts

If you're looking for a budget M/T, check out my review of the Hercules Trail Digger. 3,000 miles now of severe use and holding up very well.

They only take 10lbs of weight per tire to get balanced.

    I have a set on my 98 tacoma. 33x12.50x15.
    Pros:
    Affordale ~$650
    8 ply
    Made in USA
    True to size
    Deep tread
    Long life
Very good offroad (this is where they shine)

    Cons:
Loud... not as loud as the Super Swamper TSL Bias ply I ran years ago, but noticeable more than the Toyo Open Country MT
Onroad ride is O.K. Some vibration but I think it is because the truck is light weight. I've had them balanced on the truck and that helped.
