Steering shake when turning

Hey guys, just had my new wheels and tires installed, and I'm noticing a slight shaking in the steering wheel - but only when I'm driving over 30mph when I'm straightening the steering wheel after a turn. Stock wheels and tires were smooth as glass. So my question is, would an out of balance tire cause this shaking? It doesn't seem to shake when driving straight which seems odd to me if it is a balancing issue. Thanks for any help!

 

No, no rubbing anywhere, and I don't need to be turning very much to feel it either. But it's only when I start to straighten the wheel after a turn. Tires are 265/75/16 Duratracs on a 2.5" lift.

 

It seems to be more of a shimmy, kind of hard to explain. The tires actually did rub a bit on full lock in reverse, but I fixed that problem with some trimming. I remember the tire guy telling me the tires were a pain in the ass to balance, so maybe he didn't get it quite right.

 

That actually kind of makes sense. I noticed when I come to a complete stop with the new tires the truck kind of rocks back and forth, which I figured was because of the big block treads. If the rubber does indeed firm up, in theory that should help the steering shimmy. I'll put a few more miles on them and see what happens. Thanks for the posts.
