285/75R16 on 2005 TRD Tacoma?

I've been looking around, but can't come across a straight answer. I need answers and pictures if possible.

I've been looking at BFG A/T KOs in 285/75R16 and getting some Bilstein 5100 shocks and adjustable struts to boost my nose up 1.5"-2". And I do have the stock TRD 16" wheels and have no plans to change (I do love them)

I want the wheel wells to have that stuffed look. I've never been a fan of a lot of open wheel well space.

This is my daily driver and will ever see extremely minor off highway use.

Why not just stick with 265/75/16 and set the front at 1.75

That may look just fine. I just have a thing of wanting to see it before I do it. Sucks

I could also stick that size underneath without raising the nose. So I have a feeling raising it after that (I do want to raise it) will just leave more wheel well.

285/75R16 tires on your wheels will rub the factory upper control arms unless you put on wheel spacers.

If you really want the "stuffed" look, just go with 265/75R16 on stock wheels, at stock ride height. That's 1" larger than stock.

No matter what your lift height, 285/75R16 is going to need plastic wheelwell trimming and mudflap removal, as well as possibly cab mount chop.

Well, I've been wanting to get rid of the droopy nose for a bit. I was thinking the extra height from the tire, plus 1" or 1.5" with the Bilsteins would make it about right

I'm in same exact boat. Did you decide anything yet?

I'm getting a front and rear set of 5100s next weekend and I'm doing my research to see what I can slap on there for rubber on the stock TRD rim. I currently and running 275-75-16s and like you, want to fill that wheel well up.

I haven't done anything yet. Still saving up the $$$, but I have decided that with 1.25" spacers all around and the 5100's cranked up 2.5" for the front end, then the tires should clear with minimal if no trimming at all. Plus Bushwacker flares all around.

Everywhere on the interwebz I look, that seems to be the magic formula. The spacers will clear the UCAs and the lift will help clear the fenders.

This is what I have decided on:

Bilstein 5100 all around. Adjusted 2.5" up front:

why not just get some wheels with enough backspacing? I just put 285s on my 2011 and I only have to do some minor trimming since it's also my daily driver.
