As the title states. I would like to get some center caps for my 16x8 American Racing Mojave wheels. In my research I learned that I need steel caps not the plastic ones as the plastic one don't fit. I'm looking for American Racing pn: 1425096017 and 1425006018. They prove to be difficult to find and when I find some they are usually ridiculously priced.

I'm looking at my options now for non American Racing caps aswell.

I came across these Procomp 8425041 caps, they are much cheaper, steel, 4.250 in. and hopefully pretty close finish to the Teflon ones.

    or

    Procomp 1425007

I'm overwhelmed by so many center cap choices and fitment issues. Has anyone tried these with Mojave wheels on a Tacoma. Do you guys see any issues with fitment?

Any other suggestions that will for sure fit and somewhat match the wheels? Thanks.

Buy one and try it out. If it works, get the other three.

I would if it wasn't a waste of money. It is coming to Canada and the one for $13.99 will end up $42 shipped. It only makes sense to get all 4. Thats why I'm doing my research.

Well, I purchased those 8425041 for my pro comp 7005 wheels.

I tap them onto the hub itself, where they remain FIRMLY affixed and can only be removed with violence. Then the wheel slides on over them. (I had to buy some extras because I damaged the ones that came with the wheels when I removed the center caps from the hubs. I've since figured out how to do it with a hammer and chisel without damaging them much.)

So I'm guessing they'd work for you if the existing rims you have already fit over the existing hubs with no center cap in place at all.
