Gotta get new wheels. Would like 17" black version of Weds Hase Spec's.

Nice truck! Black wheels will definitely look good on your Speedway Blue Tacoma!

Unfortunately Weds doesn't make a 17" Hase Spec, and the new 5-spoke wheel coming out from FN Wheels is a 16" only. They do offer a 17" wheel that is pretty similar to the Hase Spec style, except that the wheel is a 6-spoke design - the Konig Countersteer Type X:

Although I don't 16's would look bad on your truck either.

Thinking better now. I want the six shooters or BFD's.
Should I do 17" or 18" on my stock ride. (I know, some trimming on 18")
If 17", how do I get the six shooters?

I can get you either set, Six Shooters or BFDs. You won't have to do any trimming on your stock Tacoma with the 18" BFD if you stick with 265/60R18, and you won't have to do any trimming with the 17" Six Shooters if you stick with 265/65R17. If you lift your truck you can go with bigger tires without trimming, but if you keep it stock these tire sizes will be perfect and won't require any trimming.

I can see the BFD isn't a common wheel for first gens but anyone got pics of the 17? I have a white 99 stock suspension but thinking about leveling or 2 inch soon (if the wifey lets me that is)

I think the 17x9" Six Shooters would look great, but I don't think anyone with a first generation Tacoma has ordered the wheels yet. They are still very new. Maybe you can be the first to post photos of the wheels installed on your truck.

The specs are perfect for your truck, so you wouldn't have any fitment issues with a stock truck. If you lift it you can always plus size to 285/70R17 tires too.

I don't think that will be a problem once the wheels arrive. I have a silver Tacoma. =)

Thanks for your input. Ive had this Tacoma since I was 16 (almost 22 now) and have just started trying to beef it up. Your input is very helpful!

Now to try and find some $$ :ballchain:

No problem! Hopefully you'll still have your Tacoma when you're 32. I don't think I'll ever sell mine either. =)

I would be willing to grab a set of those bronze six shooters and through them on silver! I know they are similar looking to the countersteers but any plans for the six shooters in a 16"?

Cool! I'll PM you about getting you a set of the 17" Six Shooters if you're interested. :)

I don't believe a 16" Konig Six Shooter is likely, because, as you mentioned, the 16" Konig Countersteer Offroad is so similar that it'd be hard to justify the costs of developing a new mould for a 16" Six Shooter.

I recommend the 16" Konig Countersteer Offroad if you like a 16" version, the 17" Konig Six Shooter or 17" Konig Countersteer Type X if you like a 17" version, and if you're looking for an 18" I recommend the BFD by FN Wheels.
