I have 16" trd off road wheels and am upgrading to aftermarket wheels. My question is will the tpms in my stock wheels work with the aftermarkets? And what if i just dont use them at all?

Yes, they should be able to swap them right over without a problem.

You might have to purchase new seals.

From what I was told when I bought my wheels is that there are seals between the tpms and the wheel. Mine were still newish so when they tried to sell me seals I asked them to try to use the existing ones. Mine were still good so it was fine.
