i bought my '09 taco used and just swapped out the tires. i'm not sure if there is the sensor on my stock rims. i assume it would still be there because i didn't take it off. is there any way to be sure aside from tearing into my tires to find out?

Did the tpms light come on when you swapped the wheels and then drove for a little while?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The stem of the sensor looks like this. Usually if you have the PMS remove it is replace with a rubber valve stem
