what size wheels and tires will work best?

hey guys just got my 05 tacoma and am planning on doing some suspension work soon. im planning on doing a mid travel setup. so my question to yall is what size tire and wheels would work best? i was thinking 33 12.5 inch general grabbers. would those fit nice or should i go with 31s? also what sice wheel will 16inch fit? and what backspacing makes the tires stick out a bit but still not rub on these tacomas? thanks yall

Bigger tires rub. Rubbing means trimming. Trimming for a 33" with mid travel takes a cab mount chop which means access to a cutoff wheel and welder or paying $200ish for someone to install BAMF plates. The rest can be done with a sledge hammer, tin snips, and a razor knife.

With a days trimming you can fit 33" tires. Generally you eant to stay at 12" or narrower on the tire with a 4.5" backspace. Rim width of 8-9" and tire height 33.25" or less.

If you get Uniball UCA that add 2 deg caster run abiut 3.5 deg caster... otherwise run about 2.5 degrees.

4.5" bs, 3" lift, and you can fit a 285/75/16 with some trimming and a possible cab mount chop, or you can fit a 33x12.5 with a lot of trimming.

When you say 4.5 back spacing, is that for a 9 inch rim? Or 8?

Its backspace. It is the same regardless of rim width. You need 4.5" to not rub the UCA.

If a girl says any more than 4.5" hurts it does not matter if its 6" or 10" right? Same concept.
