Tire Certificates

Are they worth it? The extra nearly 150$ for four tires?

 

I had a nearly new BFG km2 side wall punctured in a small accident, with the cert I only paid $30.00 for a new cert. I would say yes, get them.

 

Personally I don't think so. Things like that are only offered to make the seller money. They don't do it to be nice.

 

It's like insurance on a car, IMO. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
That being said, I bought them on my MTR's back in 2010 and haven't had any issue yet.
It would be nice if they'd let you Pro-rate old certs to new tire purchases.

My mom has had like 4 tires warrantied out by Americas with her certs. They payed for themselves after the first one.

$150 is high. When I bought my tires from Discount Tire Direct they offered it to me to which I refused and then when I went to DT to get them mounted they come down to something like $40 so I couldn't refuse.
