    Im getting 265/70/17 duratracs. I wanna know if I should get load C or load E? What are the benefits and what should I get? I know the one has a harder wall and is for heavier trucks but what is the overall best for a DCLB?

    I'm completely happy with my load C Duratracs. You will read and get opinions both ways, but unless there is a reason why you need the heavier tire, go for the C.

    2470 lbs. 50 psi 18/32" 44 lbs.

    3195 lbs. 80 psi 18/32" 50 lbs.

    Thank you for that info. The only thing I was wondering is there is a guy on here that has a set and says he has had blow outs from hauling stuff. I really dont haul anything heavy that often but when and if I do I didnt wanna have to worry about that so I fugured the E would take care of that.

    I think the guy you are referring to also said he knew about sidewall damage from off-roading prior to the blow out when hauling.

    As said earlier, unless there is a reason to go E, C is the better choice.

    If it's the same thread I read, he had done some off-roading in rocks prior to towing. Duratrac sidewalls are thin compared to some other tires. If you would have more peace of mind with the E rated, certainly get them. To me the extra weight, and possible harsh ride isn't worth my need for them.

    Cogge: Im pretty much going with the same setup as u, would u recommend that tire or going with 285?

    Personally, I'm not interested in 285s. Don't get me wrong, they look great, but that is where it ends for me. I enjoy not rubbing at any lock and being in Canada I can't get rid of my mudflaps due to rust issues. 265s still look really good on a 2.5-3" lift, so for no hassle, I'll stick with them. I will say to check out OZ-T's build. We're running the same lift, but he just stepped up to 275s (not Duratracs).

    They're wearing pretty well. I've heard some have them wear out by 30k but these still have good life in them. If I remember I'll get a pic of the current tread.

    I've got 265/75/16 C duratracs. Just about 17k miles on them, and they all have a little more life than that previous picture except for my rear drivers side. Those miles include two trips from alaska to portland and portland to alaska. I'm not sure but I assumed that would put extra wear on them compared to normal miles.

    Also just so everyone knows even the C load range Duratracs are capable of hauling/towing more than what our little Tacomas can handle. Fyi.

    I have same size your looking at load c. Unless you drive a heavy ass pickup and plan on hauling huge loads of anything load c is more than plenty.

    Has anyone had any problems with these duratracks becides the side wall because today I noticed that my duratracks are falling appart in the middle of the tire it looks like I ran over a rug little threads are poking out and I only have mabby 15k on the tires with 75% left. I'll get a picture up loaded in a bit
