Ok, so the largest tire anyone has reported using on a stock suspension is a 265/75/16 from what I can tell, which is about 31.5", but I want to go a bit farther.

Does anyone have experience attempting to use 265/75/17 on a stock suspension without rubbing?

How much front end lift is required to eliminate the rubbing if it occurs? (I'm assuming the rear tire won't rub).

I'd like to run 32-32.5" tires without a lift and without trimming/rubbing (various reasons) ... bad idea/impossible?

Doubtful. You will most likely need to do a bit of trimming with anything larger than the 265. May be close though.

It might work if you drive straight on smooth roads and think light thoughts.

I was afraid of that, lol.

Wonder if I can buy some Bilstein Adjustables and reuse the stock coils to lift it a small amount (about 1 inch) to accommodate a mid 32" tire. No AAL in the back, a small lift in front would also provide a slightly 'raked' look which I think looks cool.

Or I could use Spacers..... bleh

5100's would do the trick. I believe they have 3-4 setting. Depending on what they send you.

.85" on Billies with stock coils could give you the room you need.

That's what I'm hoping for - i guess I will only know if i try, right?

could also add a 1/4 or 1/2" spacer if bilstein's at 0.85" does not provide quite enough room. dont want to preload the spring too much for ride quality purposes so I wouldnt go further than 0.85". but i dont want to use only spacers because of the laundry list of problems that comes with that.

In reality, I'd LOVE to go 3" all around, but I'm afraid of the future problems with doing that, and I want to be able to use my Toyota Warranty, I'm only 400 miles into my 100,000 warranty afterall, lol.

You can go 3" without having if affect your warranty. Most of us here were still under warranty when we added our lifts. If something goes wrong the dealer has to prove that it was the lift that caused the issue and not the truck itself. I've taken mine to the dealer a couple of times and they never mentioned the lift except how nice the truck looked.;)

Alright alright, I'll take it from the guy who has 1000x more posts than I do.

So would you mind helping me answer my question now? You understand my plan of attempting to run a tire in the 32-32.5" range - got any valuable input to help a guy out?

Your question was whether anyone had any experience running 275/75/16, then a 265/75/17. I think I answered those questions. Expect a little sarcasm if you don't do your research to make sure those tires actually exist. This is the internet, after all.

I run a 275/65/18, which is 32.1" tall, and I rubbed even with 1.75" of lift. So I suggest you just stick to the 31.5" range everyone else runs on stock suspension, i.e. 265/75/16 or 265/70/17.

The closest size to what you are looking for that actually exists, in a 17" wheel, is 255/75/17.

275/70/17 is 32.25 , but you won't clear it on stock suspension

Seems the 275/70/17 is mostly available as an AT tire. Does anybody make a MT in that size?
