noticed while looking at a new wheel/tire setup that most of the aftermarket wheels have max loads that are way below the max loads that our tires have...
285/75/16 MTR & Duratrac has a load rating of 3750lbs (per tire)
285/70/17 MTR & Duratrac has a load rating of 3195lbs
Pro Comp Rock Crawler Series 152 Steel has a max load of 2000lbs (per wheel)
Pro Comp 7089 Series has a max load of 2200lbs
Mickey Thompson Classic Lock max load 3100lbs
given even the 2000lb per wheel max loads will cover our vehicle weights, pounds can add up quickly with skids, tools, rooftop tents, trailers, etc...
question is i guess, is this common all around? is it acceptable still to have that low of rating? do we really have to worry that much about the tire rating seems how most aftermarket wheels can't handle anywhere near 3000lbs anyway? are there any "stronger" wheels out there being use by tacos?
