Anyone tried running a tire similar to this one or even this size tire on a Tacoma with a 3" lift? I know some have run the P285/70R17, but this tire is a full inch taller. Just curious. I'm about to purchase my tires and have a 3" lift. My duty for the truck is street only and winter snow. It may hit some country roads hunting, but not any rough offroad at all.

Just curious. I've talked to one member that ran the smaller tire, just wanted to see if anyone tried the taller tire.

Am I missing something here  isn't the last number the rim size?? So your going to run a 10" rim and a 33"+ tire.... this doesn't seem right. Do they even make 10" rims for anything other than a go-kart maybe

Do you mean 285/75/20? If so, I've never heard of that size.

He might mean 18, the 8 and 0 are pretty close.

If you mean 285/75R17 with a 3" lift you would need all of that lift and may still rub. and then may have to trim mud flaps some. The 285/75R16 (on the 16" wheel) needs at least 2.5" lift and it is a full inch smaller in diameter. If you look at the Wheels and Tires threads that are "stickied" they say 265/70R17 is max on a stock Tacoma. What you are wanting is bretty big. If you like to be on the safe side get something shorter.

Sorry for the confusion, the last number the /10 is how they specified the load index, right off the Walmart web site. It's a 285/75R17 VS 285/70R17. Ignore the last number, it's irrelevant in this discussion anyway. I should have left it off. I found it confusing too, but I don't know a lot about tires either, so I thought it may just be me.

Doesn't sound like anyone has done it yet, but does sound like it'll be way tight, and I don't want to do any trimming.
