Checked my local classifieds last night and there was a set of fierce attitude M/T 285/70r17 mounted on black aftermarket wheels, less than 3 months old and only driven on weekends with 95% tread left so I picked them up for 1200 bucks. My 3" lift should be here in a week or so. I have two questions, 1. Was this a good deal? 2. Are they going to rub?

What are the specs on the wheels? Bolt pattern, width, backspacing, offset.

They came off a Tacoma with a 2.5" lift and didn't rub with very minor trimming so I'm not worried about the fit

You can probably buy that setup brand new for about the same price range. Unless you can bargain him down to $1000 or so then it's an OK deal if you really like the wheels. Fierce tires aren't that expensive.

They are gonna rub dude, if you would cycle the suspension lock to lock on the truck they came off of you would see they rub.

That being said, it's nothing some trimming cant fix.

They will rub for sure... especially since those tires have a deep tread depth. I have nearly the same setup and still rub quite a bit when compressing the suspension. I've cut a lot too
