I just switched to 255s and wanted to see how my spare might fit in the stock location, so I made a video for the rest of you to see the results as well. If anyone has video for other generations or alternatives, please post up and I will add it to this first post

Be interesting to see if somebody figures out a way to wedge that size up there

If you notice, he said he had to "kick the tire into place", which most likely means the tire is being pinched.

Ive got my full size spare in that space: Cooper S/T 255/85/16. My exhaust is chopped so the exhaust hanger isnt in the way. I did use a BFH to beat back the metal pieces that helps to keep the stock spare tire in place. It fits, no diff rubbing.

Great question Darryl.. about to do the same thing if it fits. Otherwise I am leaving my stock Sport tire on underneath. Hopefully someone will share their knowledge.

    question,

My spare (33") doesn't fit perfectly, but I'm able to crank it up far enough so its snug and not interfering with anything. Will the chain pulley come loose or will it hold that position? Not sure if the pulley locks itself into place.

I have a 2018 Offroad Access Cab Long Bed - Have a 265/70/17 BFG K02 spare with a TRD Pro rim and it fits perfectly under the bed-does not rub on anything-plenty of room- was a piece of cake to install

I ended up just deflating the spare tire. I carry a bicycle tire C02 cartridge inflator just in case. Not sure if that will work, one of these days I will get around to testing the C02 cartridges.
