New Rubbers

Baja STZ. Just had these show up today. I really like the tread design.

 

Nice! That's good looking tread without being obnoxious. And am I seeing that right? Is it able to be pinned for studs?

 

They are not pinned for studs.

 

Got the other two tires in today. Should have them mounted up tomorrow.



These tires have the new T3 Compound. The tread compound is formulated with a chemically coupled silica and carbon black mixture that provides excellent wet traction and handling on the highway, while also improving cut and chip resistance in more harsh rocky and gravel terrain. The silica enriched tread compound has lower rolling resistance than traditional full carbon black tread compounds.

I put the same tires on my truck about 1 month ago. I really like them. Have about 2K miles and no complaints. They are very quiet, no road noise. I went with the P series instead of the LT size. I do no off roading all highway, The P size was lighter and cheaper, saw no reason for the LT size. Just have to wait now and see how they wear.
