Caliber problem...

    05 4x4 Tacoma Black
    So I went to get some black rims.. Nothing fancy..Just some black steel rims. When they mounted the tire the rims rubbed on the front brake calipers. Has anyone heard of this problem? Is there a solution with out having to drop some cash on upper end rims.

    What year and configuration is your rig? You need to make sure you have the correct offset and backspacing (which for the life of me I can't recall). Toyota is funky that way.

    yes i delt with this last month for a month with 4wheelparts to find out that even though tacoma has a stock 16 steel wheel when you go to a custome it has to be at least a 17" wheel when i did that problem was solved

    its a 2005 sr5, 4x4 extra cab v6. i went to discount tires and they ordered what their computer system told them to. they said that due to the oversized caliper it was causing a rub issue.
