I have been doing a fair amount of reading about new tires lately. I haven't read much about the lifespan of the Cooper ST Maxx. I know these are a relatively new tire, has anybody wore a set out yet? Also, I know they are a 10 ply tire, has your MPG dropped much(going to same size)?

I have 235/85, my mpg did drop some with them. I have about 8,000 miles on them and so far so good

Have you driven them in any snow/ice? I'm considering these over duratracs and I know duratracs are supposed to be great winter tires.

They are terrible on ice for traction, but the can be studded.

I've heard 50,000 miles on these tires. That's if you are not thrashing them everyday. I'm sure you will lose some MPG, but not an outstanding amount. For ice and snow I have no idea.
