So I just installed the Pro Comp 3" block kit, and wanted to put a new tire/wheel package next. I was looking at putting on Toyo M/T's (305/70R16) with Pro Comp's 52 series 16x8 w/ 4" back spacing.

First, I know I will have to do some cutting, but even with some cutting will this even fit with the new lift?

Second, with the width of these tires is 4" back spacing a good choice? Will the tire rub on the upper control arm still?

    Thanks for any help Bros!

4" should be enough to clear the arms, but you'll rub on the rear cab mount. 305's are big for 3" lift. At full compression your tires will hit the top of the fender flares.

Be prepared to hack a lot of plastic and trim the rear cab mounts. It's possible to squeeze that size but a definite pain. Consider 285 tires for practicality.

Pro comp 52s won't clear the front calipers. And the 4" bs is too little for our trucks and will lead to rubbing on the outside of the tire.

    Hey KPT,

What's your data about the Pro Comp's not clearing the front calipers? Have you tried or seen them tried to install on a Taco? Just curious, because I did have some concern about this, and heard some hearsay about these wheels.

Yes there have been folks on here who tried and they hit the calipers. almost all steel wheels do, in fact. The only ones I know of that don't are Wheelers Steelies.

Would a 1" wheel spacer fix the caliper issue??

Perhaps, but it would give the wheels 3" of backspacing, which would lead to massive rubbing issues on a 2nd gen.
