The center caps pop out and the TRD is just painted on in red. 2 of my TRD logos started peeling off after 2 months.

I know, I know, pics or STFU, but I don't have any quite yet. But just wanted to report I got the wheels put on a couple days ago and they're awesome (tires help too).

Most of you already know this, but it's amazing how much new wheels and tires completely change the look of the truck. Went from stock shit Dunlops and wheels to these TRD's and 255/75R17 Hank' DynaPros. Truck looks likes a beast now.

Backspacing and offset still confuse me to this day, but whatever these TRD wheels are, they stick out noticeably more. I wasn't going for this look, but it's pretty aggressive looking. Unfortunately now I desperately need some flaps on the front, because the entire side of my truck gets sprayed.

As recommended earlier in this thread, I sprayed a thin layer of clearcoat over the letters before install.

Tires alone raised my ground-to-fender height by 1.5".

Toyota said the stock lugs worked just fine.

For lugs you will use factory flat seat found on TRD sport wheels.

Did you reuse the factory lugs that came with OR package? I'm looking at getting these wheels. Noticed that the guys with the Sport package reused the factory lugs (don't know if there was any differences between OR and Sport lugs). Thanks in advance.

You'd have to check their specs, does BFG even recommend putting a 275 on a 7" wheel? That said, they mounted 285's in the promo shots. But that may just be to look pretty. Not sure what the drawback for running a too-narrow wheel in the field would be.

Yes. They are a great choice as they are also pretty light at 25lbs. I nearly bought them till I found TRD forged 17" wheels on Craigslist, which are unfortunately heavier.

    Thank you.
I wonder if they come with trd wheel caps. This site doesn't have much info.

They do. That site doesn't have much into, but it is the cheapest place to buy online. I didn't read this whole thread, so I'm sure it was mentioned, but be sure to spray the center caps with some coats of clear before running them to preserve the TRD logo as it will start to peel very quickly.

Hi I know this post is somewhat old, but what size tires are you running and they look like NITTO's. I do not want to do a lift on mine. Its looks like maybe you do not have a lift also. If you dont do you have a rubbing issue with the tire size.

And this is how NOT to protect your red TRD paint. Idiot me bought Matte finish clear coat because of the rims being dull. I taped off the letters as best I could. Then the second I sprayed the paint I realized it dulled my red letters!!!! I was fuming. It's still not bad but I screwed up. It was easy and effortless to tape it off. You can see in the pictures the parts that couldn't be taped off(easily). If I used Gloss clear coat it would of left the shinny red letters and only had those few black spots showing the clear. In other words I would rather have a little of the black being shinny than the way I did it with dull letters.

Again it still looks alright(Especially from a distance). But I screwed up. And the Matte finish didn't match anyways. So I did everything wrong.
