    That's what originally made me lose interest in them... plus the clearcoat chipping problems...

    The clearcoat is a problem, and they are a bitch to balance, both true statements.

    One of my sets is the original MHT branded wheels. The center caps are 100% aluminum and are threaded and screw into the rim. You tighten them with a 3/8" extention on a ratchet from the back side.

    They aren't falling off.
