    For my 08 AC TRD OR;

I decided to go with OME 2+ in. lift w/o the extra spacer, with 885 springs and dakar rears.

Can I run a 285/75/16 (33")? I don't mind doing a little cutting but don't want to add any more lift. Is anyone running this setup? Should I stick with 32's?

I decided on black eagle alloy 185's and goodyear duratrac's.

    Thanks

I just got cooper a/t3's in 32's and they rub at full lock in reverse with my 2in lift on the front. the back clears with no lift but i will be lifting the back anyways

I have 1.75" of lift of front and I had to trim to even fit 275/65/18, which are 32s

ARB lockers and 4.88s front and rear, OME 886s, Dakars, etc., Safari Snorkel, 17"Fuel Revolvers w/ 35x12.50r17 KM2s, fenders cut 3" all around, Pioneer AVH-P4400BH w/ Backup cam, CB/PA (PA Installed), Weathertech Digis, Foglight anytime, AP: front bumper, skids, and pack rack, custom sliders, Warn 9.5XP, dual VIAIR 480Cs with a 2.5gal tank, OTRATTW switches galore, URD y-pipe, RCI skids, LF 240s, etc.
So don't go with 285s with the OME lift if you don't want to do some trimming?

If you aren't willing to trim, 285's aren't for you, regardless of the lift type or size.

I would recommend you stick with 32s for your particular setup. 285s will rub in more areas and if you wheel at all, you will need to do the cab mount chop. 265/75/16 fills up the wheel well nicely with a 2" lift.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like its the width you need to trim for, not necessarily overall diameter.

As for wheel size, I was told to go 1" wider than stock backspacing and no wider than 8" wheel or I would notice driveability problems. Planning on getting 16x8 with 4.5" BS. Does this sound right???

There are plenty of members here that have wheels wider than 8" and I'm sure 99% of them do not have driveability problems. As long as you go with quality wheels and tires and have them properly balanced, you should not have any problems.

16x8 with 4.5" BS will work on your truck just find. Even with 265/75/16, you might still have to do a little plastic trimming and take off any mud flaps, if you have any, to eliminate all the rubbing areas.

    3" OME lift 885s & Dakars riding on 33" KM2s
    ^ Yes
You should get over 2.5" on you V6 AC (OZ got 2.5" on his DCLB).
I have the 885s & Dakars on my 4Banger AC & got 3" front & rear (with shell).
I love the ride. Removed the swaybar and put the skinny 33"s on it (255/85/16 BFG KM2s are 33.3") on 1st Gen TRDs (16x7 with 4.5" BS) and have no rubbing problems without any cutting or trimming & still run mud flaps.

It depends. For instance, you can fit 285/60/18's with no lift because they are only 32's. but with a 285 33" tire, you will have to trim, even with a lift. But as 4wheelin4banger noted, if you have a 255 33" with a lift, you won't need to trim. So both height and width play a role.

OK. So now I've decided on the tires, 265/75/16 duratrac's. What is the difference between these sizes? I know what everything means but the W and B at the end.

    LT265/75R16E1 123Q W

    LT265/75R16E1 123Q B

    LT265/75R16C1 112Q W

I think the C load rating should be good enough, right? Just don't know what the W and B mean.

    thanks!

    For those that don't know.
The Cs & Es are load ranges. The Qs at the end are speed ratings. I'm guessing the Ws & Bs are white & black lettering.
265/75/16s look good on stock to 3" lift.

Man, you guys are fast... 3 replies in 10 min.! Thanks!

Are there any drawbacks to getting the E load rating rather than the C?

    Yes
    E's are heavier
Unless you wheel hard or carry heavy loads most of time, I would stay with C's
