Just put on 4 new, BFGoodrich 165-75-R16 All Terran, T/A
The guy at Costco put 29 lbs of air pressure. Is this correct. I ask the mgr at the store and he said it should be 35 psi. I don't carry a load, it does have a camper shell.
What should the psi be for good gas milage and wear. Thanks............Robert

Do you mean 265-75-16? You can call BF Goodrich for specifics on tire pressures. They should be happy to help you.

I have to double check, but I do believe that the sticker on the inside of our door says 28 psi. I do remember thinking that was awfully low because I've always run 32-35 psi in my other cars

    Robert,
I'm assuming that you have load range E tires. The sticker on your truck are for stock tires only. It could be very dangerous not having proper pressure in your tires. Get with bfg and let them know what tires and vehicle you have. Also the load(extra weight) that you may carry has bearing how pressure you may need.
I had load range D's and carried up to 1200lbs in the bed. My pressure varied from 32 to 62.

It says max air pressure on the tire usually you want to put it within 10 psi of that.

just read the tire. it usually says max load rating blaw blaw blaw at whatever psi
so within 10 psi of the whatever psi I think BFG says max 50 so 40-45 is good.

Thanks all for your replies. I will hold them @ 35/40 psi. The 265-75 R16, A/Ts that I took off had 73,250 on them, I never did pay attention to the psi. but think I had too much psi, as the ride was very hard, With 35/40 psi the ride is much softer..... Thanks
