I had a front mud flap break off recently, and before I head out to the salvage yards to find another one, I was wondering what anyone's opinions are on their functionality. I know alot of guys that take them off to clear bigger tires, however I am still running stock wheels and tires as for now. How much protection to the body do they actually offer? I don't go off road near as much as I want to, so the majority of debris I am picking up is from the road (pavement pounder, I know).

They work well just need to be trimmed alittle. I trimmed 4" off mine and they still keep the road wash off the truck
