Just got a set of EA 185's 16x8 (4"BS) and they just barely contact the caliper. Mostly this has to do with the shape of the wheel rather than back spacing. I really don't want to run wheel spacers or grind down the calipers because there should be a wheel out there that fits correctly. I'm looking at EA 140's but they have a positive offset. (the 185's are -12mm). I think this means less clearance since the hub sits further into the wheel, correct?

    1) Anyone running 140's have caliper clearance issues?

    2) Would going to a 17" help at all?

    3) What are YOU running that doesn't have any issues?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I bought a set of used Eagles and had the same issues. Ran 1/4" spacers for a while but had massive vibrations. Ended up going to the Mickey Thompson Classic II's with 3.65" backspacing.

I exchanged the 16's for 17's and they clear the caliper just fine, about 1/2".
