I'm looking to replace the M/T's before any heavy snow fall or ski trips. Keeping it under $200, so that eliminates BFG and Duratrac.
75% of my driving will be on-road/ 25% off. Everything I like to do is far from home. Whether i stay at 285 or drop to 265 is something I have to decide on my own (dealing with fuel getting to those places)

After all the research on the forums, I've narrowed it down to:
    1) General Grabber AT2 (50%)
    2) Cooper Discoverer AT3 (30%)
    3) Toyo Open Country AT2 (20%)

Any $0.02 on these 3 choices is much appreciated from people that have or had them.
    Thanks!!!

I'd go with General or the Toyo (also check out the Hankook Dynapro, very similar to the Toyo). I had the AT3s and didn't like them at all. I ended up selling them with about 10k miles on them. They had great grip but caused the truck to wander very badly.

Did you end up with Hankook or something else? And what size if you don't mind my asking.

Side note, jacking my own thread: I was reading up on the DIY for heated mirrors. How long did the mod take you start to finish?

I had a second set of wheels with OEM Bridgestone Dueler H/T's so I'm running them for the time being. I haven't purchased another set of A/Ts but I've been looking at Treadwrights since they'll be my second set of tires.

My first shot at DIY heated mirrors was a failure. I tried the method where you use a motorcycle grip heater attached to the back of the OEM mirror and I scratched the mirror backing trying to clean it to make the grips attach.

If you get replacement heated glass, the whole project start to finish can be done in 4 - 6 hours if you're working by yourself and you're proficient with tearing apart your dash and running wires. The mirrors themselves just clip in place, running the wires through the doors is a little bit of a PITA but the rest is just basic wiring.

When I got my DuraTracs, the guys at Discount Tire said if I didn't want to spend the money, they highly recommended Hankook Dynapro ATM. They said the ATMs were great in wet weather.

Thanks for all the input. Narrowed it down to the grabbers and the dynapros. After I clear out of the Christmas cycle on my credit card I will pull the trigger on one of them.
