Can I put 285/70//17 on my 05 Tacoma? I have a 3in rev tec lift.i was wondering if I had to trim the finders? Or will they fit just fine with the 3in lift?

They will fit. No trim is necessary. With a 3in lift you could toss 33's under there

Do you need to trim if you throw 33s on there.

    this and that...
the consensus i keep running into is that you need to modify to accomodate those tires. some is real minor and some is pretty drastic. been reading up on this topic, cause i want to run those tires on my 13 but not at the expense of cutting anything. i guess its 275 70 17 for me.

Not true, unless you never flex the suspension or turn the wheels to full lock.

OP, you'll also need wheel spacers to clear those from the UCAs if you have stock wheels.
