    I know this feel.

I just sold my mud grapplers because they weren't what I needed. They looked awesome but, im growing up slowly lol. They were way to loud for highway driving and did not ride that great on the road.

Right now I'm trying to pick out good set of all terrains to buy with income tax money, thinking the mickey thompson atz.

The mud grapplers are loud. I've heard they don't last too long either. I've heard nothing but good things about the atzs though.

They were getting to the point of being unbearable.

I have read also that the atz tires are loud too, but my question i keep asking myself is what's loud to me coming from the mud grapplers.

    One option is goodyear duratracs

^^ I've heard that as well but they can't be near as loud as the grapplers

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Eveybody around here hopped on the Mudd Grappler bandwagon this past year. They don't last long enough and dont have a smooth enough ride to justify spending that much money on them. I'll stick with my Toyos and run them for hopefully about 5 years.

I actually did use mine. I work in the coal mines, above groudn strip mine and with a 5 miles haul road that turns to slush they came in handy. Finally they built us a new road so it's not that bad anymore, plus it's now alot shorter drive.

I go to school at night and the ttowns on the weekends, and a few times for classes. I have alot more road time and decided to ditch them while i could still get some descent change for them.

I have said this before and I will say it again....Do not get an obscure or uncommon tire. I reccommend getting a very common brand style (BFG or Duratrac) & common size. That way in the event you have a blowout or unrepairable puncture, you can easily get a new tire that is in stock at someones store and not have to wait days or weeks for drop ship of your special tire because you want to be unique.
Twice in my life I had to have a tire replaced on the spot, and it is very nice for them to go back in the warehouse and have you fixed and mounted and on your way.

Or just get a full size spare

Just my suggestion. Good luck with your choice

Not to highjack the thread but what kind of turnover time for powder coating? I'm about to put 5100's on and would like to do my coils. Don't have the down time since it's my DD though. And how much would it run for a pair of coils?

I like the TRD OR wheels I have and don't care to change them. I love comparing tires though.

Well I got my tires mounted today. I'll snap some pics of them and post them tomorrow in the daylight. I love them so far. Quite and have great road manners so far. Now when I save up some more money I can go crazy over wheels.

Looks great! You have a leveling kit on there? I have 5100's sitting here waiting for a chance to install them. Trying to decide .85 or 1.75?

Thanks. I just have cheap 2 in spacers and have plenty of room. These are 265/70/17

My wife got so sick of me debating over wheel and tire combo. Theres just so much to think about (size, clearance, weight, tread pattern, tire life, feedback......) it was driving me nuts. Even after I decided and picked them up I'm still debating on whether I made the right choice. I have them sitting in my garage right now and am waiting for everything else to come in so I can install everything at one time.

The tire and wheel buying process was by far the most difficult truck decision I've made thus far. Shoot buying the truck was an easier decision.

I know exactly how you feel. This is my first "nice" truck so I wanted the right tire on it. All my other trucks I just threw on the cheapest mud tire I could find and that was that. I wanted a good looking tire that ran smooth and will last with this truck.

They need to understand it's fun for us, like them buying shoes I guess. Except we don't buy them every other weekend :D

I bought the trd beadlock wheels years ago after they went off the market for a while, so when they started selling them again I jumped at it. I didn't need tires because the truck was still new. I decided way back then on 255/85/16. Toyo M55's were my first choice, and KM2's were my second choice. Well my stock tires have finally worn out, and I bought my tires.
