Opinion on which TRD wheels for my white DCSB

I want to get a set of TRD wheels for my 2011 super white DCSB TRD Off Road. I just got 5100s on the front set at 1.75 and will be getting the rear tsb done on Tuesday. I am also getting new tires and am about 90% sure I am going with the Duratrac(second choices would be BFG A/T or General Grabber AT2s).

NOTE whichever wheel I choose I will be going white letter out!!! I love the white lettering out look!!

A few weeks ago I was dead set on black wheels...here's the thing...I spent so much time on TW looking at the white black combo that I think I'm half sick of it!! The other crazy thing about that is no one in my area has the black wheels on white truck look. I am just not as sold on it as I was at first but I am still considering it.

The choices I am looking at are:

TRD Trail Team Black



TRD Ivan Stewart


TRD Bronze


TRD Trail Team Silver


My thoughts on those wheels are as follows:

TRD Black: Even though I said I was tired of looking at the white/black combo I do think these wheels still look great.

TRD Ivan Stewart: I really like the "deep dish" look of these and they are still somewhat unique and I am buying new wheels because everyone has the same TRD OR wheels I have.

TRD Bronze: I like the beadlock look, the bronze on white may become the new black on white.

TRD Trail Team Silver: Would be the TT look and not be the overdone black plus they are cheaper.

 

FJ Trail Teams (black) without a doubt.

 

I just put the black trail team on my white one and love it. For me, the black on white always looks the best.

 

I favor the black trail team rim, they look hella sharp!!

love those fake beadlocks. camelback has the baja wheels for a good price as well.

 

being a white DCSB as well it was a tie btw bronze and trail team black.. but I chose trail team black.. and sub's to see what you actually choose.. might help me out

 

It's not one of your choices, probably because they aren't readily available right now but the beadlocks in black are my choice. I'll be installing mine later today on 09 sw dclb.

 

Have you given these any thought?

 

Hmmm... I do like the look of those.

Mentioned in the other post as well are the black bead locks which I like but haven't seen any for sale anywhere.

Other than EBay where can I find TRD wheels??

From your list, I voted black TT. I think they would look great on your white Tacoma.

I'm not sold on black wheels on a white truck, though im kinda debating on plasti dipping mine .
Black looks good in pics but from a distance or when the truck is moving it looks so plain , no wow factor to it .

I really like bronze on a white truck though .

 

These are the ones I'm getting for my white DCSB, so it would be my vote.

 

I think the bronze would go great with the white. That is what I would go with if it was me. The trail team black wheels look great as well. Can't really go wrong with either one imo.
