procomp lift tire size

Hey guys i just got my lift installed. I went with the 3" procomp, so far no complaints. I'm riding around on stock wheels and tires though time to upgrade. I was wondering if anyone on here is running 33x12.50's. I'm planning on a 17" wheel. Any help would be great thanks guys.

 

285/70/17 or 255/80/17 are popular sizes here. I belive something closer to 33x 12.5 would be 305/65/17 but you would need to do aaalloottt of trimming to get those tires to not rub.

 

I personally plan to run a 3" procomp lift, 16" KMC Enduro's, and 285/75/r16 (285/70/r17 for a 17" wheel). I will probably run BFG KM2's or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's. From what I have read this size should fit with a aftermarket wheel with a 4.5 backspacing or stock wheels with wheel spacers. It usually requires minor trimming though. Thats just what im doing, so no promises. Hope that helped

 

I know i'll be doing a lot of trimming I was debating between the 33x12.50 and the 295/70's.

 

There aren't many choices for tires 295/70/17. All i have seen in that size are nitto terra grapplers and toyo mud terrain. I am sure there is more but there is alot more selection with 285s, just something to consider. There is probably a better selection also in 33X12.5. Be ready to do the cab mount chop with a tire that wide.

 

Alright so my buddy had some M/T classic locks laying around told me I could take them.. They are 16x10. anybody have any idea on what size tire i should go with now.. i still want to run a 33x12.50 but I think i'll way to much rubbing.. Any help would be big. Thanks

 

10" wide wheels you will need a wide tire. If you go by the manufactuers specs 295/75/16 in bfg AT (33.2X11.5) is only rated up to a 9.5" wheel. 305s maybe. Go on tire rack, shop tires by size, then hit specs and it will tell you dimensions and recomended wheel width

 

Yeah I was looking at a 305/70 which I'm pretty sure is a 33/12.50.

 

Is anyone on here running a 16x10 wheel

 

How is the lift working out for you? I'm thinking about getting one because of the the cheaper price but have heard mixed reviews.
