Derp works pretty well, just make sure you put 3 to 4 coats of it on so it won't chip or scratch off. If you do a lot of off roading it will start to come. Plastidip helps to let you know what your wheels look like blacked out, then, if you like it, it is best to buy new wheels or powder coat the ones you have.

And guys wouldn't it just be easier to answer his question?

I had all the chrome on my truck plastidipped and it held up well.
Do 3-4 coats, but don't do the first too heavy or else it'll run. The first coat will seem thin but the next 3 will cover nicely.

Don't know about your wheels but I did my emblems like a year ago and they're still fine, no chipping.

looks great! how many coats did you put on and do you have anymore pictures? I was thinking either black or gunmetal gray. My truck is just like yours but black..

Ill get some better pics up by Monday. I went with 5 good coats with 30 minutes between coats and 12 hour dry time on the final coat. Cleaned wheels with spic and span all purpose cleaner. The basic colors are available at Home Depot but the metal colors have to be ordered. Made a world of difference because I dislike the chrome. Real test will be how they stand up to the elements but so far so good.

Looks really good! I think I might have to try it out. Did you take your wheels off when you dipped or did you leave them on? Also, how have they held up so far?

Should of painted the center caps, too. Throws the look off. But all-in-all I like it.
