    Folks,

Please bare with me as I'm very new to the truck/lift scene. I recently picked up a 13 DCSB Prerunner and bought the 18x9 BFD's. I'm trying to find the "right" tire size/brand for me and had a few questions:
    • I've read a lot about people getting 275/65/18s. Would a all-season tire give me the better MPG than say a all-terrain tire or M.T tire?
    • If the answer to above is yes, is there a tire that looks tough (ie. duratrac) but is a all performance tire?
    • I don't plan on lifting my truck... would 275/65/18 be the best size or should I go smaller? I don't mind trimming my fender a little but I do want to avoid excessive trimming
    • Would going to a smaller size (265/60/18) increase my mpg?
Your thoughts and input are greaty appreciated

    Edwin

    1. Yes
    2. Probably the closest thing to a hybrid street/all terrain tire is the Cooper Zeon LTZ
    3. Go smaller. 265/65/18. I had to trim to fit 275/65/18s with 1.75" lift
    4. Yes.

Thanks KPT. I'm still deciding if I want 265/65 on the 5100s at 0.85 or 275/65 at 1.75. Can you share the difference in mpg when you went from 265 to 275? Did you lose some mpg? Were both tires 6 ply? Thanks
