So I am putting 265 65 18 tires on 18x9" wheels. These will only be on spring, summer and fall.. Winter the stocks are going back on which are 265 65 17's

If I leave my stock spare under the truck and shit happens and I need to use can I? And if so front or rear? I am only talking to get me to a shop..

Most articals on it say if you have a odd size spare it's best to put it up front until you get to a repair shop and don't engage 4WD... something about rear differencial's don't like different size tires. I'm running 265/75/16's with a 265/70/16 spare but the tires e rated... chances of getting a flat are pretty slim. Best advice though is get yourself a spare to match.

As far as i know the main concern would be running it on the rear of a limited slip diff or on the front with 4wd engaged... but i could be wrong. I'd like to hear some other opinions on this...

Yeah I read that off a forum (can't recall which one).

The folks on there said that if you have a open diff it wouldn't be AS bad but.........

OP, check out CL in your area for a full size spare. I got lucky and found a guy selling a brand new 285/75/16 Nitto Terra Grappler for 70 bucks! The tire is about 2 years old
