2nd gen Tacoma require 16" wheel or larger to clear the calipers. comb through the threads, there are a bunch of members with 33s on a 3" lift.

99% of the people will say you can't fit a 15" wheel on a 2nd gen and they are 99% correct. There was a member who had 15" steel wheels on a gen2, also a picture of it. He may have very well had the only 15" wheels on the planet to clear the brake calipers but it worked and to my knowledge he didn't grind calipers, though he may have used wheel spacers, I don't remember, as this was a few years ago.

Best bet would be 16's. It can be a chore just finding 16's that work, so imagine what a pain it would be to try to find the one, maybe 2 sets of 15" rims on the planet that would actually fit.

Stick with 16" wheels and you'll have more tire options to choose from too.
