Questions regarding Goodyear wrangler Duratracs

Hi all, so I'm in the market for new tires, and am lost. I will be using factory 17" TRD sport rims, and have 5100s set at 1.75. I will be towing a 4700lb gvwr travel trailer. I know the size is 265/65r17, but talking to my Goodyear store they don't make them for our rims he's suggesting 245/65r17. Online they show 265/70r17 in the line up, why not go with these? I won't be doing any rock crawling just ugly roads, logging roads, highway, construction sites etc. I realize from using the TW tire calculator with the 245s my speedo will be out around 1km/hr. with my size trailer do I have to look into weight ratings on this tire or are they all capable? And finally what are people saying about weak sidewalls on these? Thanks in advance for any responses, I'd rather take advice from here then a salesman!

Go 265/70/17 for sure, you might lose some MPG though. And dont worry about the sidewalls our trucks are light and these are commercial grade tires. They are awesome in the snow

245s sound like they would be too small. I would stick with the 265/70/17s. If you are doing towing you can look into if they have a load d or e range.

They come in C or E in that size. I would go with C for sure

if you look around you'll notice 95% of guys have increased their tire size. 265 70's really do look much better. 245's would likely look ridiculous. I did notice 265 70's had a slight affect on my acceleration however.

So would I have to worry about any sort of rubbing with the 265/70r17?

Probably not on stock wheels especially with billys at 1.75. Maybe remove front mudflups

You should not have to with stock wheels and that size tires.....and than there is additional 1.75 lift.
