backspacing -12

Just wondering for a 17x9 xd spy rim would -12 be good offset for stock tacoma ?

-12 is the offset backspacing would be 4.5 on those wheels..

I am not sure myself if they will fit stock and I am sure it depends on tire size.

k just got specs on what xd offers for 17 inch spy rims
17.00" x 8.00"+18
17.00" x 9.00"-12

the tire size would be 265/70r17 good year duratrac on stock suspension which would fit better

The second one is a better choice, as long as the 265 duratracs are approved for 9" wide wheels. You can find that info on their website.

kpt... goodyear recommends 7 - 8.5 for duratrac if i would get 17x8 +18 any idea if i would have rubbing issues? also local rim shop gave me a quote of around $1800 anyone have an idea if that sounds about right?

It says 7" - 8.5" on the site. Look under the specification portion on the left. Tried to link it but it didn't work for some reason.

You would. Too close to the uca, especially for a tire with such an aggressive sidewall

anyone know approx how many inches the tires will stick out past the fender flares on 285/70/17 on 17x9 with a -12 offset...
