I have a specific question that I would like an opinion on.

Question: If you can only put on 2 winter tires (why you can't put all 4 on is not the issue), where should you put them and why?

I've heard a couple of different theories, but i just read an article on a new one.

Put them on the front: Steering is ALWAYS important, especially if you have a FWD vehicle. - I agree with this.

Put them on the rear: RWD vehicles would benefit more from improved traction on the drive wheels.

*NEW* Put them on the rear: Manufacturers would prefer you to understeer than have the rear end come whipping around.

I would put them on the drive wheels. Steering is not important if you can't go anywhere.

:eek:or 1 up front + one on rear, on opposite sides of the vehicle ;)
