Need help with Tires!!

I have a 2008 Tacoma 4 door Crew Cab. IT has stock tires on it now , but I want to get new tires. I was curious as to how big I could go before I run into problems. i.e. rubbing , cutting. They are 245/65 R17 . . Was looking to go with a more aggressive tire. Let me know what you think. I already have a few tires in mind. Thanks!

 

absolutely no rubbing at all, 265/65/17.. maybe a little rubbing with stock wheels go with 265/70/17.. aftermarket wheels just stick with 265/65/17

I am running 265/75R16 for three season tires and 245/70R17 for winter tires...I recommend the 265/75R16 for the ideal tire size on a stock truck.

265/75/16 or 265/70/17 on stock wheels should not rub 95% of the times, still depends on the particular tire. But even in those rare cases, removing front mudflaps, or getting ones that do not have that "bulge" OEM front flaps have will solve that problem.

 

Any advice as to what flaps are a good replacement to the OEM front flaps, that don't have that bulge? I just switched rims to a set of pro comps yesterday, and am rubbing on the mud flap bulge, but only on bumpy turns (I did already remove that little flap on the front section of the wheel well).. Was gonna trim that bump out of the front flap, but if anyone knows a nice replacement, I would just as soon remove them and order a new set that won't give me issues. Thanks!
