I find my KM2's a bit slippery on normal pavement, and that's probably the reason I couldn't make it up a dry boulder last weekend - kept sliding down the face never catching even the slightest grip. Might try the new Cooper 255 next....

Could you elaborate, I've run the KM1, KM2 and trail grapplers and still would pick the KM1. I've no experience with the M/TR but I'll get any reason to try..

My only complaint with my KM's was that they chunked pretty bad the first time I went wheeling

Thanks, with this tire and wheel combo (17x8 with 4" backspacing and -13 offset) I only had minor rubbing on the mudflap and the tiny 'mudflap' in front of the tire. Once I took them off, everything was good. Good Luck

Do any of you guys running these have a 2.5" lift (or a ~3" lift for that matter). And did any of you have to do any substantial trimming? Like a cab mount chop or anything more than just minor fender stuff?

No trimming at all on mine with 2.5" of lift.

I don't want to change the subject, but I am curious as to why you chose the 255/75/17 size. That's the first time on the threads I've seen that size come up.

From the research I did it was the tallest tire I could put on without having to cut up the fenders and cab mount to make them fit. To be honest I think its the perfect size tire for our trucks withe 2-3" lifts if you dont mind the slightly narrower look of them. That being said last week I traded my tires in last week for 285/70/17. The 255's were a great tire but I wanted the wider look. And yes I have had to do quite a bit of trimming with the 285's.

I'm looking at a 2" lift and was thinking of the 265/70-17 which is very similar to these. What are the specs on the wheels you mounted these on?

I'm looking at 4.5 BS/-6 offset in a 17" wheel with stock width.
