I tried to read the Stickies but Tire, Offset, Backspace, etc measurements have always eluded me.

My truck will be coming in tomorrow or Wednesday. Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 TRD Off-Road Pkg has the 16" rims with P265/70R16 tires on it. I read one of the stickies that said the Rims are 16" X 7". I want to keep the stock tires as they will be brand new.

I'm trying to order some Mickey Thompson Classic Locks from 4WheelParts.com and just want to know that they will fit.

    Found some that are:
    16" x 8"
    6 on 5.5 bolt pattern
    -12 offset
    4 backspace

    Link below shows them.

So I got off the phone with a guy from 4 Wheel Parts.com. He said because the way the Tacoma Calipers are made, that he doesn't know any aftermarket 16" wheel that will fit. He said the factory 16" wheel is made specifically to fit around it but that if i wanted to go aftermarket than 17" is the lowest I could go or i would rub the calipers.

Is there any truth to this statement?
Has anyone put aftermarket 16" wheels on there truck?

There are aftermarket 16" wheels that will clear the brakes, but not all of them will clear.

Do you have a local 4 Wheel Parts that you can visit? They should be able to test fit one of the Mickey Thompson wheels for you.

I do not. It's about 4 hours away. I went ahead and ordered them and if they don't fit I'm out about $150 to send them back. Worth the risk for the dream wheels. Lol.
