4x2 Different Size Front & Back Tires

Does anyone know of any issues such as throwing codes while running the stock 215/70r15 tires on the front and replacing the rear tires with 215/75r15 all terrain tires on a 4x2 Tacoma. It would be about .8'' larger diameter tires on the rear. Wanted to ask before trying it.

I'm running 245 70r 17s on my 2010 access cab. Base 4 cyl. 2wd. No problems. Great consistent fuel mileage gain. Using the Odessey speedo app for a true speedo and odometer.
Youll be fine with the tires.
All the best.

I guess you would be rolling down hill all the time with larger tires on the rear, lol. How big a tire that will fit the stock 15'' rims and have good clearance on a 4x2?

To answer your question...suggest u go to the Tacoma world tire size calculator. You could put my tire size in 245/70r17. Then you could look up similar 15" sizing.
On 15's with a two inch front n rear level kit you can fit 32's. Tight though.

With no lift and no wheel spacers, mine fit fine at 30.5" diameter.

Hope that gets you started at least

I'm having flashbacks of my '84 Cutlass.

Seriously though, could cause issues with your ABS and Traction Control.

Would just .8'' larger diameter rear tires affect the ABS? Anybody actually tried it?

Ive got no problems with abs/ vsc. They both work fine. No problems. No issues. Cant be scared by change. Thats what mods are about.

.8 tire size change wont hurt. Dont let the nay sayers talk you out of something you want to do cuz they dont"think" itll work. You'll be fine.

Im out...

Nothing except the tires and wheels. 245 70 17's on 17x7 alloys all around. Spacers were unnecessary. I have them but don't need em. The only thing I did for fit is remove the three screws holding that stupid lower fender box on so I could clear everything. No problems been running same "setup" for 3 years now.

Hope that answers the question.
Regards.

Unnecessary to lift. Tires gave me 3 inches and better mileage. I know it sounds wierd but it changed my rear gearing ratio to the point that I cruise 55 mph highway at 1400 RPMs
