I bought a set of new steel black wheels with tires from a guy i know and when i went to have them put on the brake calipers were in the way. Is there anything that can be done to make these fit on? The wheels are 15x8. I have a 1998 4wd tacoma. Thanks in advance.

Get wheel spacers or take a grinder to your calipers.

I used ones that were 1/4".

They were cheap and worked. If you go this route, I recommend getting new longer studs to make up for the 1/4" difference.

The alternative would be Bolt on spacers like Spidertrax. Those are at least an inch thick.

Im not positive on the brand they are black steel wheels. with the red and blue ring around the edge. There is no brand on the centercaps or wheel. they look like this but no word on center caps.

Probably American Racing. I had 15" black steel Cragars on an 02 TRD 4x4. The thin spacers cost about $10/pair the Spidertrax are about $100/pair. I've never heard a bad thing about the Spidertrax spacers. You only need them for the front.

Yea i am wondering if 1/4 inch will be enough though? if i get the spidertrax and only on the front wouldnt it look a little funky.
