I have 285/70r17's. Same overall size but of course 285/75r16's will have more sidewall and less rim. Only have about 1,500 miles on them but so far I'm very pleased with the Rocky Mountains.

On a side note. I don't have enough good things to say about these tires. Put about 65k on a set and had zero issues. Aired down off roading, and beat the shit out of em. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Was going to get a set in 285/75 i had 265/75. But decided to go with something a little more aggressive.
