Hello, I'm new and have been searching the posts for some info but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I will appreciate any help. I just bought a used 2011 SR5 Prerunner v6 automatic. The current tires are dunlop 245/75r16's. I bought a prerunner over a 4x4 due to a 90mi daily commute. I need to keep my mpg's up. The stock rims are butt ugly and I would like to move up to 17's. Can anyone tell me how the weight of after market rims and tire size will affect my mpg's. thanks

also, any suggestions for rims and tires. thanks again

Welcome bud. I'd swap a set of stock 17" sport wheels on there. I got about 21 mpg on my bone stock 2011 sport on the highway with the stock bridgestone tires.

    BUMP!

I have 65K miles since I added my 3inch lift, 285s, and added the flow master exhaust. I am lucky to get between 15-17MPG.

My 285s are going to need to be replaced soon and I have been contemplating dropping to 255s but I am not sure if there will be a dramatic increase in MPG or not.

Thoughts from anyone who has done this?
