Okay, so, over the past few days, my Left Front tire has been losing air for no reason. I have removed the wheel from my truck and looked all over the tire, there are no visible punctures or tears anywhere. The same wheel/tire also has a mild vibration at highway speed. I am using the stock wheels and and the same size tires as the factory with no lift , and the truck has 102 k on it.

If anybody has any idea this would be lovely, as i really dont want to have to replace the tire/rim unless i have to.

    Build thread coming soon!
Maybe there's a little something in between the tire and the bead?
The only way to know for sure is to submerse it in a tank... why not take it back to the tire shop that put the new ones on and have them check both issues?

Take the wheel off the truck and don't just visually inspect it, but spray it with soapy water. The leak will show up almost instantly. I usually soap the whole tire then inspect it for the leak. Also soap and inspect the tire sensor and soap the entire wheel. I just replaced a 5 lug steel wheel that had a leak at one of the welds. Wasn't coming out of the tire, but out of the wheel.

Okay, thanks guys. I haven't gotten new tires, im having issues with the ones that were on the truck when i bought it, but they are almost brand new, id say 85% tread left. After further inspection, my dad noticed that the valve stem is steel on the aluminum rim. would this cause any problems? also, im gonna do the soapy water thing tonight, hopefully that will pinpoint the leak.

Edit: Just noticed the wheel thing too, ill make sure to coat everything liberally, if it turn out to be the rim, SCS might get some business from me soon.

Once you submerge the wheel/tire in some water, the leak will pop up. It could be a bad valve stem, the TPMS might have a worn o-ring, or there could be a pin size hold in the wheel(barrel). Good luck and if we can help you with a set of new wheels just let me know:D.

Maybe the tire bead is not seated properly. That happened with my car. How I found out and solved it (and it's a bad thing to do, so don't try it) is I drove kind of erratic. But I didn't realize that was the solution until AFTER I drove it that way and the leakage stopped.

    I know....

I just figured that the tire had a small hole in it. I had to put in air every day and it just got to be a routine thing. The night after I drove it that way the sensor didn't light up. And it hasn't lit up since. *shrugs*

Another word of advice. When you do go to soap the tire, fill it to normal pressure. If the bubbles don't show, drop the pressure by 10-15 psi. I have had tires seal themselves when not on the vehicle and filled to proper or excess pressures. Sometimes when they are off the car they need to lowered a bit to help find the leak.
