I am new to this forum but recently purchased a 2013 Tacoma DoubleCab 4x4 and put a 3" lift on it. I was wondering if I would be able to run 285/70/17 without wheel spacers? If not then what size wheels spacers should I order to be able to run that size tire on the stock wheel? Thanks

If you are running 285s on stock wheels then yes you would need wheel spacers

I don't know if it is the same but on my 01 I am running 285/70/17 with 4.5" backspace on the wheels

It'll be better if you get new wheels with at least 4.5" backspacing

Could you go with 4.0" backspacing, or is 4.5 preferred?

You will need 1-1.25" hub centric wheel spacers like spidertrax or bora to run 285's on stock wheels to clear the UCA's, will also need to do some fender well trimming and cab mount chop.
