Just joined. Am sure this question has been asked here one way or another a thousand times. But, here goes. My Tacoma came equipped with 215/70R15 tires. I don't like em. I want to replace these tires with 235/70R15 tires. Toyota says flat out not to do it because of a lengthly list of potential problems this could create, including overheating brakes. Since the 4 Cyl Pre Runner comes with larger wheels and tires, don't understand why larger tires will not work on my 15" rim Tacoma. Has anyone upgraded to the 235/70R15 from the 215/70R15? What about the odometer/speedometer -- did you have it recalabrated? What about the auto trans shift points, did you have this adjusted?

Any help here would be appreciated.
