hey guys i have a 2000 toyota tacoma pre runner 2wd and im trying to get some flat black wheels that will not rub with a little offset. ive been looking at the pro comp rock crawler 51 15x8 with 3.75. some reviews say this will not fit my truck and im trying to aviod spacers. are there any way these will fit or are there some wheels look similar that will fit? i really like the d windowed rims so something similar to that. thanks

Re-check some of those reviews, I know 2nd gens have problems with fitting certain wheels and having them clear the brake calipers. I just ordered some Pro Comp 7069s with 4" backspacing and 285/75/16 Goodyear Duratracs so they should be here & installed this week. I'll let you know if it all fits :p

Definitely do avoid spacers btw. Don't cheap out -- just get a decent lift and you won't have to go back and replace it as soon.

The last year of the "1st Generation" production was in 2004. From 2005 and on they are "2nd Generation" Tacoma's. Toyota basically changed the body style and mechanics of the truck whereas before they were extremely similar in the 1st Generations aside from the major difference -- the front grille changes.

So your truck (2000) would be a 1st Generation Tacoma -- the best ;)
